Wow.

Even if the fans were 2$ a piece he has what looks like 30. About 15$ worth of wiring and zipties and probably a good 3-4 hours installing/wiring everything.

Wonder if it works though.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

I only see a few zip ties, the fans look to be held on with wire so depending on where the fans were sourced it could have cost less than $5, i.e. free "recycled" fans.

Two thoughs come to mind, total CFM with all those fans and total covered (or open) area on the radiator. That may all me a restriction compared to a proper fan.

I like the "spirit" of the repair though.

I would love to see a video of it working. I have a feeling it won't work at all- once the car gets up to a reasonable speed the wind through the radiator will push the fans back into the housing where they will stall out and not do anything.

Devillock 03-29-2011 04:24 PM

i like it. never seen that before.

No ****, I took an old case fan, hooked it up, and pressed against the center of the blade to see how much pressure it would take.

Wonder if it moves enough CFM hahaha :D

Tale128 04-16-2011 04:28 PM

Ummm wow.. I wonder what the initial amperage draw is when they all try to start up.
