personally i think its a waste of time, money and added weight to a car

i wonder how many people already have tried to swap the 5th gen console into a 4th gen....
|
the pics in the 1st post are not bad but I'm not sure I like that it does not match the seats. post #2 has too many colors, the colors clash and looks it looks ricey.
I've decided to stop complaining about weights until I reduce the weight of my drivers seat by 25 pounds or more. lol |
yeah if i did it i wouldnt do all the crazy colors. if i had a black/white theme, black houndstooth seats with white inserts, dark leather, or leather in the 5thgen with white stitching. i'd try to keep it as subtle as possible.
i'd wrap the sides of the console as well, as far as the dash, i dont know what i'd do. i could just buy a new ebrake handle and shifter handle with the stitching Quote:

I think it would be a nice addition to a 4th gen interior. Especially if you can get one with some red trim on it (see if you can find an aftermarket console for the 5th gens I'm sure some one has them).

i know everyone complains about how cheap the can look/feel. and after seeing GTO interiors and Navigator/Escalade interiors, i know we can make these cars look nice.
The arm rest would be padded and be leather wrapped all the way up to the top, again idk how i would do the dash. But a REAL leather interior with clean white LEDs could do wonders. |
As long as the leather and stiching matched with the rest of the interior I think it would look great.

Leather would be sweet.
