Building a Turbo 3.4

Looking to get started on ripping apart the motor and making it a all turbo car. It will just be a project car for fun nothing to daily drive with. ANy thoughts or opinions?

Talk to 3.4 grape of wrath... he has a pretty sick turbo 60v6. Also try 60degreev6.com. I know they have some pretty good flowing heads for those motors found on the newer 60 motors, the 3.9 maybe? they end up with massive high compression but your going to need custom pistons anyway. the real key would be getting the fuel flow and proper tuning you need and getting the bottom end to hold together. If you have a solid bottom end, its all in the tune. Will make or break the motor! literally

Yea, the heads and intake from the mid 90s+ 3100 and 3400 60*v6 FWD motors were a vast improvement over the f-body and older FWD 60* motors.

Get a 3.8 motor. Its a better platform to work with and you can pick up those motors for 100.00 now..

I would def go with a 3.8. Bigger aftermarket world. It will make your life easier and cheaper

not sure if its better but what about using a 4.3?

I ran a 13.5 with my 3.4 with a turbo, fmu, water injection and a MSD-4 ignition. The only mod done on the motor was a set of crane 1.6 roller rockers.
I pumped 15 lbs of boost into that motor. Just make sure the knock sensor circuit is working.

For the same amount of money, you'd be FAR faster swapping a V8.

Dumped about 6000.00 in fully modding my 98 V6 with a built motor, Bolt ons, Nitrous and supporting fuel and other componants.. I trapped 118mph in the 1/4 with it not spraying in 1st gear and only spraying 125shot with pretty much a stock tune.. I just built my Ls1 and it cost about the same with all the supporting mods and the 383 motor. It trapped 118 tuning through 1 gear at the track all motor..
