fuel filter flow question

Hey people I have an 85 trans am with a 350 carb with a holley mech pump and regulator. All I want to know is where do I put the filter before or after the regulator. I know its not a big problem but I ask cuz people have told me that the filter has to be the last thing before the carb but won't that change the pressure ? Thank you in advance

I would put it before even though the filter should not change the fuel pressure. I'm used to fuel injection so someone with a carb can chime in with an answer.

If you are using Holley's basic regulator, the filter goes before it.
