How many milies or passes on the tires? How did they 60ft?

Troy 05-27-2011 10:42 PM

60 ft depends on your setup and launch technique but these have about 25-30 passes on them which is not much at all. They've been in storage in my garage for a few years as I'm now using ET Drags on different rims. These might have 30 miles on them at the most as I only used them at the track for the most part and maybe drove them there once.

ahhh the only thing that scares me is that haven't been used in a few years. Last set of tires I got in the same situation being used ( drags) were as good as ice skates going down the track. Srry I didn't see that they were old.

I don't see how tires being older have much to do with that but I guess you learn something every day. I would think that has more to do with someone's tire pressure, suspension config, track conditions, etc.

they dry rot and the rubber hardens as they get older, i think thats what he means

I went out to the garage and checked the tires out and just to clarify in case there was a concern with these, there is no dry rot.

Stupid question time: Whats the metric equivalent of this tire size? I know my car will fit 255/50/16s. I know theres a site that converts it for u but i cant find it right now :/

if its an fbody then they will fit just fine tire wise rim wise you would need to mount those slicks on a third gen rim or a rime with equivalent backspacing due to them being diffrent i run 26 11.5 16 ion my 99 z28 and the fit fine so youll have no problem fitting 10.5 wide tires

Camarokid08731 07-10-2011 02:18 PM

troy would you be willing to seperate the tires from the rims?
