transmission support problem

i need an opinion of what to do with some broken bolts, im helping a friend swap a 350 into his 92 rs and we pulled the transmission with the old 305 to work on the transmission also. when taking off the transmission support the camaro owner broke two bolts on one side and now is complaining about how to get the support back on, he tried to drill out the broken bolts but drilled crooked and now they are shot. what would be the easiest way to put the transmission support back on, should we relocated it a few inches back and put in new bolts and nut, or weld on the bracket, i dont think the original holes are salvageable so what should we do, any thoughts or stories of similar incidences are welcome.

Is it the bolts that hold the trans crossmember to the "frame rails" that are messed up?
