That is all. Not bad, still has great oil pressure but has the typical Spy Hunter smokey start up(thanks GM and your crappy valve seals). Not bad for 6#'s of boost going through it.

So F you LT1 and LS1 guys :rofl::rofl::moon::moon:

Blackbirdws6 06-13-2011 12:36 PM

Time to up the boost. :)

Frosty 06-13-2011 12:38 PM

No, I like having my car in one piece lol

BonzoHansen 06-13-2011 01:13 PM

20+ years old, modified/boosted, 150,000 miles and you whine about valve seals? lol

Frosty 06-13-2011 01:18 PM

 Hey everything else in the car works all the way down to the AC, antenna and hatch pull down. Even without the boost those garbage seals would be leaking, lol.

Obviously it's not as cool as the Catfish and Sebring's that we call 4thgens but everything on it works. :D

After making this post, you do know you are going to pop a head gasket driving home today... right?

Oh it's a given. I vote for the headgasket popping just as I lose 2nd gear in the trans...lock it in.

Congrats though man. That's a lot of miles, and boost isn't making it easier.

I'm not starting anything. Just see a storm coming when they check the forum.

You should treat the car to dinner tonight. 150k is quite an anniversary.

Very commendable for a stock shortblock though, any idea how long the procharger has been installed?

About 18K miles.

LTb1ow 06-13-2011 07:30 PM

You should just swap in an LS1 and have awesomeness achieved.

Frosty 06-13-2011 08:02 PM

greenformula92 06-13-2011 08:57 PM

this post is getting a lil funny lol.....frosty, GM has blessed us 3rd gen guys with great valve seals lol, my 89000 mile convertible smokes at start up too.

Frosty 06-13-2011 09:11 PM

It's the Spy Hunter option(that game was the **** back in the day)

BonzoHansen 06-13-2011 09:26 PM

it's easier to do SBC valve seals than an opti. :)
