Dodge Pickup hit and run- see if you can help
 
Police in Franklin Township, Somerset County are looking for a black Dodge pickup, either 2500/3500 Series, The truck had a significant lift kit and twin chrome vertical exhaust pipes behind the cab. Police are asking anyone with info to call Officer Richard Hartnett of Traffic Safety Bureau, 732 873 5533 ext 3168 or TIPS line, 888 577-8477 - This truck was involved in a fatal hit and run.

There is a guy working in my office building with a truck matching the general description. I gave a call figuring it was something worth looking into. I was told they already got them. Nice!!

it was actually a woman from Piscataway who was struck fatally by the truck as she was trying to help a dog who was struck previously by another car. I was keeping an eye out but +1 on that being a hard car to hide.

One of the reasons I posted it up- there was a good chance it would stick out to car guys.

this morning i i heard they got him, any news on who it was?

my bet was on someone from hillsborough/ manville, they seem to have all of the lifted trucks. not many in Somerset.

Wow... unless he was drunk I don't understand why he left the scene. That's the kind of thing you don't do and if for some reason you are set on doing a hit and run please don't have a passenger who will rat you out.
