LTb1ow 07-05-2011 06:14 PM

band77one 07-05-2011 06:15 PM

sometimes i think you post just to read your own posts.

LTb1ow 07-05-2011 06:17 PM

Only sometimes? I am disappoint.

And your question is so open ended you are gonna get answers from a high 9 to low 14s. Hence, my answer.

band77one 07-05-2011 06:21 PM

12 bolt with 3.90 gears, full interior, turbo 350 with mild shift kit, built to handle about 500 horse maybe a little more

sweetbmxrider 07-05-2011 07:24 PM

Then its probably going to break at the line

There are definitely too many variables even after what you listed to give a good guess. Weight, tire, cam, peak torque, converter size, shift point, driver experience, etc etc

It shouldn't run 12s, that's for sure. But it will only run what it runs.

band77one 07-05-2011 07:50 PM

well the shop that built it, and himself, swear this peice of **** is going to run 11's. and i just cant see it happening lol i mean its quick, but i doubt 11's at the track, thanks anyway guys!

sweetbmxrider 07-05-2011 07:55 PM

Unless it weighs 5000lbs and is on bald street tires, it should get there. 400hp lt/ls1's run 11s.

This. If he DOESN'T run 11's he should sell the car and buy a Hon-duh, yes seriously.

why not?

jts98z28 07-05-2011 08:27 PM

he had a shop build it and they only made it strong enough to handle 500hp when the car makes 650+? im gonna have to agree with sweetbmxrider and say its gonna break, might roll to 330' depending on where it breaks though..and one huge thing you forgot to mention is whether its rwhp or flywheel, big difference between the two

band77one 07-05-2011 08:30 PM

no a different guy did the transmission

band77one 07-05-2011 08:30 PM

and the HP is at the flywheel

band77one 07-05-2011 08:32 PM

well the motor they built for him last year, which was a 462, didnt last 1500 miles before something happened and the whole motor was wasted, and that was being easy on it

sweetbmxrider 07-05-2011 08:43 PM

Sounds like a bunch of pals....damn pals.

he went there knowing they have a terrible reputation around here, because his dad grew up with the owner Al Sr. not only was the first motor not put together properly ( obviously since it didnt last 1500 miles ) he paid for another motor and has mauybe a couple hundred miles on it ? and he said its not running right hah.

Frosty 07-05-2011 09:26 PM

Kat 07-06-2011 05:01 AM

I put around 400 to the wheels and run 11.50's. If the car can stay together for a few passes. Low 11's high 10's.

12secondv6 07-06-2011 04:45 PM

What a waste of a thread.
