Login difficulty

Have this problem often trying to login. Happens almost any way I try to login in by either login when making a post, login at the top right of the page or login on the home page above where the car of the month is displayed. Everytime i repeat the process i make sure i make percise key strokes to avoid user error. Thus is anyone else having the same issue?

sweetbmxrider 07-06-2011 01:29 PM

Only thing I have happen is I log in, then it redirects to the page I was on but it won't show me as logged in. Click on any link and boom I'm in.

Tru2Chevy 07-06-2011 05:58 PM

Matt, are you getting an error message, or are you just not getting logged in at all?

MyFirstZ 07-06-2011 09:35 PM

I usually have to repeat it once or twice. Always been like that since I joined. I figured it was just my settings on my computer for saving study like that

4thGenJunkie 07-07-2011 02:21 PM

This happens on the main njfboa.org page where I'll never be logged in, but if I click to the forums I'll be fine. Any browser and any computer.

where's wbt, I'm thinking this could be a cookie/browser setting issue.

<--no problems xp/ff or ie8; xp/ie7; blackberry; samsung charge; win2000/netscape 4.x (yes, that old lol)

4thGenJunkie 07-07-2011 03:12 PM

Try clearing your NJFBOA cookies next time it happens.

Firefox: Tools >> Options >> Privacy >> Clear individual cookies

NastyEllEssWon 07-08-2011 10:27 AM

that happens if i log in on the forums in the top right hand corner. if i log in from the main screen it wont show me logged in until i click the forums in which it stays logged in. that being said i just bookmarked the main page in my tabs and go from there

WildBillyT 07-08-2011 10:39 AM

I can almost guarantee that this is a cookie/security/browser issue.

If you are running third party security software or w/e it may block cookie setting entirely. There's a lot going on in the web design world now regarding cookies and what is considered "OK".

We won't hack you, so if you want try adding njfboa.org to your trusted sites in IE.

Tools-> Internet Options-> Security -> Trusted Sites -> Sites and add it.

Also, are you using privacy mode or "don't store history" in Firefox?

DaSkinnyGuy 07-08-2011 10:39 PM

Bada bing bada boom thanks bill seems to have fixed the problem.

The_Bishop 07-10-2011 09:08 PM

I've noticed this issue if you type in 'njfboa.org' as an address, without the 'www.' in the beginning. Doesn't seem to recognize the cookie. Go to 'www.njfboa.org' and all the problems go away.

greenformula92 07-11-2011 07:51 AM

tried to log in yesterday from someone elses computer at my weekend job and it would only log me in if i clicked the "remember me" box
