quick question

on my phone so searchin is a b**tch so i just made a thread

what backspacing/what not is needed on weld wheels(big n' littles) for 4th gen camaros with stock rear/stock suspention. also what modding is needed to be done to clear the brakes?

sorry for the lack of search.

which welds

LS1ow 07-08-2011 05:03 PM

prostars. wouldnt they be the same with every wheel?

Mike 07-08-2011 08:43 PM

no, some have subtle enough differences that they require less or no mods to the calipers...

mine are 15x3 front with a spacer, and 15x8 with -5.5 backspacing in the rear, i had to take a bunch of metal off my calipers. if you get the 15x10s, its a -7.5 backspace, and i dont know about the brakes

Mike is right. 5/16" spacer was used up front. I will reccomend longer studs if you get weld wheels cause the stock ones will barely stick out past the face of the wheel, basically only about the thinkness of the washer.

my rear brakes after grinding, LT1 brakes werent nearly as bad ...

Nevermind, you wanted to get ford wheels. lulz.

15 x 10's need 7.5 backspacing on stock rears and I can't think of other useful info.
