Heat + retreads=f***ing bulls***
As some of you know I recently bought a 2011 Camaro SS.
I havent even got 3000 miles on it yet, and had to drive it to work today. After spending 10 hours baking in the sun wiring solar panels in a field all day, on my way home getting on 287 from 78 East a tractor trailer blew one of those crappy retreads and sent the rubber flying right through the lower grill on my car. Luckily it only impaled the car along the bottom of the lower grill. No paint damage but the damn thing was dragging there while I was attempting to get over the 4 or 5 lanes to the hardly existent shoulder to survey the damage. Of course, the guy didnt stop or even slow down because by the time I had yanked the damn tire out of my grill and got back up to speed he was long gone... Does anyone know if its possible to change out the lower grill entirely? Or suggest a tasteful replacement? I'm pretty pissed I've barely made 3 payments on it and now its all screwed up. |
That sucks....but he probably didn't even feel it come off...he should have saw it in the mirror but he odiously didn't, do you remember the name of the company? If so you can call then and explain the situation and you should be able to get it fixed on them

Damn Steve that sucks! Hopefully it's an easy and cheap enough fix - try gmpartsdirect.com or one of the other online sites to see where you can get a good deal.

Did you check on Camaro5? I have seen quite a few Camaro's around here which look to be aftermarket. Sorry about your bad luck
