Tire Qs
well as some of you may know i got myself a pair of dragwheels for a decent price(thanks smash) the wheels are have 28x12.5 ET streets(tubed) i had to threw them on the car again today just to see what how they worked and i was kinda of disapointed, but to no suprize.
i can deff get it to hook, but that isnt my problem. the thing is a DOG on tires that tall. after the first 5 feet the thing leaves like a jazzy. deff to big of a tire. so whats a good size tire for my car? obviously a Drag Radial/Slick tire. oh btw, the rims are 15" welds. Cliffzorz: -Car leaves like a shopping cart. -need a diff tire. |
Car is a stock stalled LS2 w. Full exhaust, some suspention. nothing crazy
|
150 shot off the line=problem solved...or try some 26"
|
yeah you want 26's

ET streets 2s? |
Yeah I dono why you are running a tubed tire.
What are you looking at? et street radials/qtp's? |

i was lookin at the 26x11.5 QTPs or the same size ET street radials. i had the ET street radials(295s) on my 383 car, and i couldnt get em to hook without VHT. i also know the M&H Radials work good at the "track" i frequent. but they dont seem to have a 26" for a 15 |

Right, well just having a tire on a car won't provide the hook but it will help. You have to adjust the suspension for proper weight transfer pending track conditions and find the correct tire pressure. I wouldn't say no to the et street radials but I am also looking at qtp's for mine.

stick with a 26" tire with the 3.23 gears. Go with QTP's if they will be mostly used at your "track", or ET streets if you plan to daily on them.
My one regret with my new setup is that I didnt go with 4.10s and a 28" tire :| |
Not sure if 15's or 16's
