I don't listen very well
So anyway I'm aware that the motor isn't going to last but it gives me a reason to rebuild it afterwards.
Stock except for descreened MAF sensor, midlength headers, SLP exhaust (no cats), throttle body coolant bypass, moroso CAI, and a Vortech V1 t-trim on 6 PSI. Ordered a stage 2 Snow Performance water injection kit (progressive spray), will be ordering a Walbro 255 pump in a few days. I was told to go with 42lb injectors (I am imagine based on the same PSI) so my question is will these work? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ACC-150840/ They are 40lb injectors. Anybody have any better suggestions? I was picking Brian from PCMForLess's brain to get an idea and he said no matter who tunes it they shouldn't have a problem with the extra demand of fuel. Another quick question, do I need the "hot wiring" kit for the Walbro 255 or can I just buy the pump? |

I just don't want to switch my pistons/rings out yet because if I pull the motor out I will not have it back in & running before the winter. I'd rather take all the precautions to try and prevent it from detonating but it's not the end of the world if the motor gets destroyed because it's all stuff I can reuse. |

I have a connection to get 60lb injectors for only a couple bucks more than Summit wants for those 40lb injectors. I have a set of 85lb injectors that I bought for mine when I was going to build a lot more motor than what I went with. I'd sell for the same as what Summit wants for the 40 lb. PM me if interested.

Quick question, all this is something I am thinking of (I imagine it's logical but want to double check).
Let's say an injector is rated at 26lbs at 43.5 PSI and another set of injectors is rated at 26lbs at 39.5 PSI. The lower PSI rating on the same size injectors will flow better behind more pressure? So the 26lb injectors that were rated at 39.5 PSI will flow (higher, as an example---28lbs) 28lbs on 43.5 PSI? |

It may clear it up some for you, but you are along the right track, a injector rated at 26lbs will flow more lbs of fuel when the fuel pressure is increased. |

The important things to remember, when your injector duty cycle goes above 90% the spray pattern usually goes to ****. Size your injectors to be 125% of what you need and you'll never have an issue. When you turn up the pressure, it affects volume. Most pumps are rated at a certain pressure to flow a specified volume, if you don't have enough pump to feed everything you're going to drive over your crankshaft after a few passes.
