The "street" mezeire ewp is heavier than a stock ls1 pump by about 2 lbs. I didnt notice a change in power or normal cooling temps from installing mine. The ewp flows more at idle, but the mechanical flows more at mid/high rpm. The biggest benefit of an ewp is having the choice to run it and the fans when the car is not running to quickly cool the motor.

100% street car I would say its a waste of time unless you like extra buttons. I believe the rated hours on the electric motors are relatively low compared to failure rates of mechanical pumps too.

If you have an underdrive pulley, I recommend you get a high output alternator or an overdrive alt pulley for it, otherwise you might have issues sitting at hot idle.
