Nice new rides. What are you doing with the old one? Selling or parting out?

They all have Chrysler 8.25 axles, and high pinion d30's. They will be fine on 35's stock as long as you don't get on it

What are you talking about XJs had whatever chrysler felt like sticking in the back that day. Some had dana 35s, some had chrysler 8.25s and tow package trucks had dana 44s.

Keep telling yourself that about those 35s... Hope you get chromos for it.

The '97-'01s ~should~ have an 8.25" rear as long as it doesn't have ABS (ABS trucks got the Dana 35). The '97-'99 XJs had high-pinion D30s up front, '00-'01s had the low-pinion axle. Again, this is all assuming neither one of his new XJs were messed with by previous owners.

They both have HP D-30's and Chrysler 8.25's I have verified this, I know what they look like, if they are built they can handel it, my buddies non c-clip d35 is still alive and kickin on 35's and he beats the piss out of it off road.

He was referring to all 3 of his XJs, not every XJ ever made. And for the record, only the 87-89 tow package XJs (most of them anyway) got the D44 rear.
