first 9 sec pass

i made my first 9 sec pass yesterday at island. it felt great. the car was solid as a rock. it ran 9.88 @ 134mph. 60ft was 1.39. i left the line at 5000rpm. i think its going to be happier leaving around 5500rpm. and i was shifting at 7800rpm. this was only the 5th pass on this motor. cant wait till next year to dial it in more and go for my lic. i think it will run a solid 9.7s. take a look at the videos. let me know what you think. both videos are of the same run, just filmed by two different peope.

Nice et for the mph! Got a glide in it?

heavy_chevy29 11-15-2011 08:11 AM

Yeah.its a glide with a brake. I lost a few mph sum where. I ran a 10.04 @138mph at cecil county about 3 weeks ago. I think getting the 60s down to low 1.3s is pretty doable. I can't wait till next season

Might be do to weather and elevation. That is a great pass for the mph though in my opinion. Best of luck next season.
