Saab is dead
http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...ruptcy-107648/
Long story short: GM sold Saab off to Spyker and the Sweedish govt, gave them three vehicles that GM paid for full development. That went well for about 10 mins, and then Spyker needed more help, so they tried to off-load Saab onto the Chinese. After 4-5 different Chinese and even Russian investors and GM couldn't reach an agreement, Saab was left in the open. Oh well, not a tear will be shed here. |
Good. Horrible looking cars.

and the older ones are wired as bad as old volvos. bury them all in a deep hole. stupid key in the center console
|
If any of you have facebook, please head over to GM's facebook page. It's...it's pretty good.

Apparently SAAB fans are just as rabid as AMC guys. When they killed Pontiac a lot of people were pissed but not like this. My buddy dumped his 2000 Z28 for a 9-3 Aero and says it was one of the worst decisions he's ever made. |

I heard it was to free up room and money for Pontiac's return!

I am a big fan of Saab. Our family bought an 03 and it is still running in great shape in the hands of my cousin. We gave it to her a year and a half ago with over 110k on the clock. I would love to get my hands on a used Saab but unfortunately, I don't have the money, or would have the patience to source parts. Having owned a Saturn, I know how big of a pain it can be to source parts when something breaks.
I think the auto world lost a big player today. :( |

:usa:i only worry if it takes away jobs from the USA
|
Ahhh...no jobs. The 9-4x was built in Mexico along with the Caddy SRX, and the 9-5 was built across the pond.
I love when they say they will never buy GM again, when by the looks of it, never have. |
