Injector size?
I'm trying to figure out what injector sizes would be good for my build and which way to go.
Here is the basics 226/234 226 ai 243's Full Bolt ons Ported fast 102/102 ractronix fuel pump kit That is for now but If I ever go through the short block it's getting a medium dry shot and I don't want to buy things more than once. Thanks guys. |
Dry shots are lame.
42# green top SVOs |
When buying injectors, keep in mind at which Fuel Pressure PSI they are rated at.
Theres lt1 FP and LS1 FP which are different.(43.5psi /58psi) ...so an injector that is rated at say.. 30lb/hr at 43.5psi is equal to 34.64lb/hr at 58 psi I had Racetronix 37# ones (43.5psi rated) and they worked out to about 42#@58psi in my old LS6 with a big cam and almost all bolt ons, and my duty cycle on them were fine. |
42-46 rated will do you fine. I would go with 46's to have the fuel for future mods above what your list is.
|
So does anyone know where I can get the best deal?
|
Have the stockers resized. . .
|
Get the FAST 36lb/hr injectors, they are thin body and 42lb/hr at ls1 fuel pressure. You will need thin body injectors to fit onto a FAST 102 intake.
|
seimens injectors for aftermarket, they will be the cheapest & most reliable. Make sure you purchase with correct connector.
|
I forgot about fuel rails, are their other options then the ones by fast? Thanks guys.
|
for that hp range i think youll be ok with the stock rails.

I would do a set of 42lbs there around 48 @ 58psi gives you room to grow. Don't waste your time on a dry shot.

What about these? http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...&productId=233
http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...&productId=203 http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...&productId=101 http://fuelinjectorconnection.com/sh...&productId=179 I'm on a really tight budget but don't want to buy crap or buy twice. Thoughts? Also I had to go with an ls6 intake could I get away with maxing the stock injectors out for a while? I'll be upgrading the fuel pump asap... |
The first two are for cars that make a little bit of power. You can run stock injectors forever, you just can't go WOT. You would have to be retuned when you get new injectors.
|
Yeah..I figured they would be big.. I just sent them an email asking for a recommendation..
