Start of the 2012 racing season

After a long 9 months off finally getting back to the track. Running open comp in the Tomato Nationals at Immokalee (1/8 mile IHRA track in south west florida). Hopefully the rust gets knocked off quickly from the driver and car. Nice to get back into bracket racing with the LT1 formula.

It was a balmy 15 degrees this morning. Bracket racing couldn't have been further from my mind

Good luck Jim!

I'm planning on going into street. With Hock, Harhart and Petruski moving up to Pro, and you just moving, I just need to stay clear of Wentzal and duck hunt a few rounds ( hoping to be the hunter, not the hunted! ) Goal is simple, be racing at the brackets! At the NHRA banquet Robby D. said he has his 427 power 69 Camaro dialed in and he's looking for me! I was 0-3 against him last year! .003 Red, TB tube came off (hard to run the number with no boost), and a missed shift. So I owe him big time!

I ran a 7.72 first run then 7.71 on the second time shot. Had to put on a 7.66 dial for all eliminations rounds per open comp rules. Opponent went red first round so I increased my shift points and ran 7.60 out the back door. Next rounds went back to my original shift points and ran dead on next 2 rounds. Lost in the quarters (#5 finish overall) when I "lost" my opponent and broke out by .02. Learning curve for me running 1/8 mile.
