Starter/Block complication help - pictures!

So yeah, I'm posting (it saddens me every time I post one of these here :bertstare:) about the infamous "YO STARTER BOLT TOOK OFF A PIECE OF THAT BLOCK YO". Self explanatory with pictures.

Questions, know of any LOCAL shops that can do this kind of work? From what I gathered it needs to be tig welded.

How much will it run me generally? I don't want the engine pulled.

The only way someone will do it is pull the engine, I would suggest a new shortblock.

That is normal of a engine that has consumed water at one point in its life.

I guess that would explain it, it's had 6 previous dumbass owners (leases..)and i've been fixing all the stupid crap they've done.

Just had a rethought of things, could this just be my bell housing?
