Jeepers !

as you know i built my front bumper instead of forkin over the cash for it, so now its finally time to get the rear one done too. im lookin for Pics of what people have, and perhaps some custom ones to base mine off. Ive been browsing the web for a lil but im lookin for one that really catches my eye.

1. No Spare Swing out
2. Gotta Have place to mount Shackes/reciever.

Have you done the cut and fold on the rear 1/4s yet? If not, do that first, then build the bumper to protect that area as well.

make me some rock sliders while ur at it, no one sells em lol

LS1ow 02-29-2012 07:54 PM

Justin I planned on doing that while I was back there. I wasn't gunna extend the bumper back to protect there but now that I think of it I deff will.

And yes, rocksliders come after the rear !

he wants them for his blazer im assuming... plenty of places have them for xjs... make sure you tie enough into the frame rails especially if your gonna put a reciever on there. ill be making my rear bumper soon enough too but i want a tire swing out... you still interested in my safari rack and spare tire holder when the time comes?

maroman88 02-29-2012 09:47 PM

i dig the roof racks but i cant get my jeep in the garage with it on so... spare tire has to go off the back. incase some catastrophic happens i need to get in the garage to do work

Tru2Chevy 03-03-2012 06:27 PM

I took mine off within the first year and haven't put it back on....picked up a total of ~1.5 mpg after removing the rack and crossbars. I still have it though, and it will likely make it's way back onto my new XJ in due time.
