What is an Inf cobalt?

BigAls87Z28 04-14-2012 12:11 PM

LNF is the RPO code for the turbo 2.0

It's super secret Cobalt speak....

or what Al said.

BrandonDrecksage 04-14-2012 02:25 PM

its the cobalt that had the turbo 2.0 motor with a manual trans. i had the gm stage 1 upgrade that loaded a different tune in for more power. fun car ran 13.7 at 105 with the gm stage 1 only

maroman88 04-14-2012 06:14 PM

id take the cobalt over a new stang anyday

haha...rwd always trumps fwd....I got seriously tired of the torque steer and turbo lag

DaSkinnyGuy 04-14-2012 08:09 PM

high five on the new car, plus the sound from the 8 piston stereo sounds way better than a cobalt

haha...couldnt agree more...a catback will be on order soon...this car just makes power everywhere....never thought i would own a mustang after owning 2 ls1 camaros, one 3rd gen and 3 cobalt ss...2 lsjs and one lnf.

They grew on my a lot....going from a cobalt to that is definately a righteous upgrade. Congrats on the purchase.

FWD = Wrong Wheel Drive

NJ Torque 04-15-2012 01:13 PM

Congrats...good luck.

7998 04-15-2012 01:45 PM

Congrats and good call on the Boss wheel.
What is it with all us GM guys going Ford. GM better hurry up with the 6th Gen or the migration will only increase, especially after reading about ZL1's only running 12.5's.

NJ Torque 04-15-2012 07:25 PM

Its alot of car for not that much...

I am all about what a car can do in a straight line too but GM did say "they are focusing more on the ZL1s road course ability over its drag prowess" (quote from HOTROD Magazine) I like the newer Mustangs better than previous years but if I was in the market for a v8 rwd car, I wouldn't even hesitate to get a Camaro over a Mustang. That being said, good luck to everyone with their new Mustangs!

New name for this site?! NJFB5.0A!

Check out the ZL1 videos on chevy's website and see what time it ran the Nurburgring. It takes real engineering and power to run that course that fast. If I remember, right it runs almost two minutes ahead of the SS.

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-16-2012 08:54 AM

What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the new 5.0s real world?

Featherburner 04-16-2012 09:52 AM

Good luck with your new ride! Be careful, I've read the transmissions in those things are not too strong!
