Hello to all! I'm fairly new I've been a member for almost a year but this is my first time posting. I'm from warren nj 15 min from island dragway 30 from the chatterbox. My F-body is a 1982 trans am ws7 package red in color and rocking the GM 350 290hp crate engine with the rebuilt stock 4speed. T-tops and crager SS wheels! Look foward to attending some meets this summer!

i actually got into an accident yesterday with it. some lady talking on the phone stopped to merge into traffic then when she started going we all did and she freaked out when she saw a car in the left lane slammed on her brakes and the truck in front of me was able to squeeze on her left but tat left no room for me so i have a passenger side fender that is dented along with a gouge on the hood. ill post pics of that too. the lady ended up driving away after causing an accident while being on the phone. stupid Friday the 13th :-x

Welcome, you may want to see if you can get ahold of TAdan. Hes got an 84 TA among others near Somerville. In fact he might be in Warren as well. Sucks about the wreck, but could have easily been worse. Swap the fender, grille insert and maybe hood and be on your way after paint.

Whoops, just saw you meant Warren County. TAdan is in Central Jersey. I thought you meant Warren the town. I live in Andover, car is in the garage under construction, however I do believe I may have seen you around near the Chatterbox. I'm there all the time when the cruise nights officially start. I thought of going tonight.

thanks for the welcome and help guys, Ive been to the chatter box twice for the car show i tried going last year on the day of your meet there but you guys were already cleared out by the time i got there. i work saturday nights now so it might be hard for me to attend certain events. I used to use the car as a daily driver up until last september. So you guys could of seen me anywhere in all of north jersey. :)

as for the damage i plan on going to my body guy on monday see what he tells me. ive been looking around the site for a fender i found out possibly any fender would work just need to switch the air vents. maybe i can re use the one i have on there now. Thanks for the warm welcome i look foward to seeing you guys at some events this summer!

Like L695speed said, I am in Warren (township)... I also run a board dedicated to 82-84 Firebirds. (In the sig.) I look forward to seeing your car around some time.

We were still there at the chatterbox, just not many showed up, because of that we moved over to where the usual cruise night is. Some others showed up later too. There were NJFBOA folks there just not all in one place. If you go to the Chatterbox, look around for a 86 Fiero GT. It has a 3800SC in it and black and silver. That is my brother's car. Chances are if he is there, I'm there. Usually if he goes with that thing I ride along to save the gas. Otherwise, I'll have the daily and be walking around there. If a few things go my way, my car will be there later this summer. Look forward to running into you and the car up there or anywhere else for that matter around here. I'm also on the boards Dan mentioned.

Definitely plan on going to the chatterbox a few times this summer hopefully. I attended the hackettstown cops n rodders cruise a lot last year and plan on doing so again this year. its pretty cheap, 5 dollars for the whole summer pass from may through when ever it ended. I'm usually off that night of the week so it works out.

I can here my body guy now saying all parts are discontinued that i need. so hopefully we can find the right fender i may need the hood too, there is a slight dent that actually pushed down and broke the parking light. ill fill you guys in tomarrow afternoon what ive come up with. thanks for being so welcoming. not used to that on most forums

Got back from the body shop this afternoon they too couldn't find a salvage yard fender. They called gm and apparently theirs a warehouse out west that has all old classic car parts in it that they still have. The only down side was they wanted 500 for the fender, which i thought was nuts so i said ill keep looking and me being stupid did not even think to check hawks third generation parts. Turns out they had a fender that i bought for 125$. The estimate was about 2100 dollars with repairing the whole hood the fender the front grills, head light, parking light and making the front bumper even again including repainting the whole bumper.


I am from knowlton 5 minutes from the Columbia by the truck stop off rt 80 or 5 minutes out of blairstown, belvidere, and hope. I am always passing through p burg/ harmony usually once a week your pretty close about 15 minutes thanks for the warm welcome.

thanks but its too late its on its way here! i plan on getting spare parts in case it happens again though. when i bought it i got driver side and passenger side fenders from the seller this fender that just got cracked up is one of the ones he gave me already. so i still have a driver side in the shed in case something happens to that one. thanks for the help, ill look for him when i get some spare cash again!
