Gonna be a long time before I can do another hot rod, BUT...
 

I've always had to be different, and since my next rod is probably going to have to be a daily driver kinda car, I've fallen in love with Pontiac's Grand Prix GXP. I had a GTP for a couple of minutes, but it was too far gone to do anything with. I love the styling of those cars, and the thought of an LS4 under the hood tickles my Willy. :mrgreen:

A while back, this guy in his GXP got pissed because someone stopped short on him. He decided to rip around that car and lay into it. I swear the front tires were smoking through second lol. I've never driven one but are they known for any major issues?

Ive always wanted to convert my 03GT into a RWD LS1/T56 car. But I doubt it will ever happen.

I was more referring to the GXP's with the LS4. I didn't know if they had any specific issues.

the GXP's are REALLY nice.... dooo it!

When I had my GTP I was hanging out on some of the Grand Prix boards, and they covered the issues. There are guys who can build the trannies pretty well, and the other issues were spoken of as well. There is a guy out there in cyberland who has a Monte SS [FWD model like the GP] with a crazy turbocharged, destroked, LS7 under the hood. It's putting out 800+ hp, and he got the tranny built to last. I'd just be looking for a stocky type car with a couple of bolt ons. 305 HP stock is enough to get me in trouble. :)

It's a damn shame that one of the top GTP trans builders is gone. Good 'ol Eric. :cry: Would have made it real easy for you!

Yeah, Wild Bill, I miss him. He had some cool GTPs and FWD Monte's in his shop when I used to stop by. I remember one of the GTPs had been switched over to a turbo. :)
