I was "Letter of the Month" in the Jan 2011 isue of Hemmings Muscle Machines.

WOW! I didn't think the engine would have that much life in it. You can be as punctual with maint. as possible but the bottom line is GM did not intend that engine to last this long. Your Sir have what I like to call, "The Factory Freak"

Change ur oil! Thats the ticket. Every 3000 since new. I remember laying in my drivewy in the snow to change the oil, just becuase the odometer said so.

I have changed oil like that on all my cars and have still had bearing failure before 150k. The again ive never bought anything new so who knows what previous owners had done
