I'm down for a convoy

Slow-V6 05-13-2012 09:37 AM

They probably wont be able to dyno your car dave. They couldnt keep the Firehawk from downshifting. I think that you have to tune it to not down shift or unplug a sensor so it wont downshift. Might want to check before you cruise all the way over there for nothing..

Can anyone shed some light on this?

All I know is that the 4th gen Auto is electronic controlled and on a dyno they need to keep it in 1 gear. When you manual shift it into 3rd and floor it the Tranny will still downshift to the lower gear.. Everything we tried to do with my car it would still downshift. There is a sensor you need to unplug to prevent this from happening or you can tune it out I believe.. Do a search over on LS1tech.. Lots of info on this..

Try leaving the car in 3rd and flooring it at 60 mph. That worked alot for mine. Just gotta get past the downshift sweet spot.

MyFirstZ 05-19-2012 01:01 PM
