MyFirstZ 05-27-2012 01:06 AM

I would have believed you since that's what I did......

Slowly but surely and scissor fingers lol

S.J.SLEEPER 05-27-2012 02:53 AM

Rag to keep it from fallin in pan
Loosen it with 10mm S-wrench
Fingers like sausages.... :banghead:
so skinny angle needle nose pliers to take it out the last couple threads.

I don't see the sawzall in the pic?

LTb1ow 05-27-2012 08:37 AM

Took engine out the bottom though, so any time saved was taken up by that, shoulda gone out the top!

Fully welded header/y/cats and they needed to be re-coated. So out the bottom was defintly the easier route.

No sawzall needed

Oil pump out in 5min.. vrs. taking oil pan off, cleaning it & new gasket n such.

Wish I was working on a Lt1......:bertstare:

LS1ow 05-27-2012 12:31 PM

bet i can get it out faster using a demo saw.

Jersey Mike 05-27-2012 04:44 PM

Good, you can do mine in a few months!

The_Bishop 05-27-2012 05:51 PM

With a demo saw? I'd like to see the re-installation.
