Putting info in the sig helps with what car is this for ...

I think the T/A's have the VSS running through the computer

i swapped a carb on my 88... i left the computer there to run the fuel pump and the fans, i think thats all... removed the check engine light bulb too

greenformula92 06-27-2012 07:34 AM

i think his is 85 or 86

BonzoHansen 06-27-2012 08:36 AM

does VSS even matter if he is running a mechanical TH350?

I'd be concerned an amp in that spot may overheat from lack of air.

86 firebird been driving around all day car runs normal

BonzoHansen 06-27-2012 11:58 AM

I mean to the speedo if it is driven by a VSS. Which I'd assume is gone anyway

Should be fine as long as it's not a huge amp. My last Jeep had a 200w 4 channel and a 100w mono sub amp both shoved under the backseat for years with no issues. Should have about the same amount of room and slightly better circulation under the dash of a 3rd gen.
