New Jersey 101.5 Fast Traffic says the Turnpike Authority has closed as of 11:30AM northbound between between Exit 7 (Route 206) and Exit 8 (Route 33) and southbound between Exit 8 and Exit 7A (I-195).

The Turnpike is also not letting traffic onto the Turnpike in both directions between exits 4 (Routee 73) and 8A (Jamesburg).

Interstate 195 has also closed between Exit 5 and 7 in both directions.

Traffic is also clogging alternate routes like Route 130 and Route 1.

route 1 is a parking lot and loaded with trucks. they say Route 130 is a mess as well.

Hit that a little earlier on 295 and rt 1 turned a 15 min trip into 45

i just got home. holy crap 1:45 to get home from east brunswick! I took rt 27 home

I am on the train now instead of my Van pool home. Leaves at 4:31 and gets in at like 5:15. I didnt feel like taking probably what will be two hours home. I am fortunate to have alternate means :lol:

Yeah, I walk from the station sometimes. Guy I work with is on the train too, can get him to drive me the two blocks :rofl:

My commute is from west to east via back roads, took an extra 5 min :) Saw Rt1 and 130, parking lot! By 5:30, the northbound traffic on the turnpike was flowing, south was not.

They've been working on that 195 overpass for way too long! Now it might be damaged and need repairs! I'm glad the summer beach/boating season is done if they end up closing down lanes of 195 it will be a nightmare.

Yea, I wasn't listening to the radio and was in bumper to bumper traffic from Mercer Mall all the way to Forrestal Campus. Ended up 30-40 mins late for work.

It is....195 Westbound at that overpass will have only 1 lane open for the next 6 weeks.

The accident damaged the old overpass. The new overpass is 6 weeks from completion. I've heard they are going to try to push up the opening of the new one.
