Camaro is coming back to America

http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...chigan-115201/

In case you didn't know, the next generation Camaro will be built on the same platform as the current ATS and upcoming CTS. This means that the 6th gen Camaro will be much lighter, nimbler, while having quite the parts bin to pick from. Alpha, Alpha + and Alpha "lite" will all be equipped to handle turbo 4, twin-turbo V6, and all variations of the Gen V V8 as well as the upcoming 8-speed auto and most likely the 7 speed manual trans.

Will it be able to compete with the mustangs of the same level?

V 12-19-2012 05:38 PM

this still mean ATS-V gets TTv6 or possible v8?

WayFast84 12-19-2012 05:39 PM

Will it be able to compete with the mustang gt price?

LTb1ow 12-19-2012 06:12 PM

NastyEllEssWon 12-19-2012 07:41 PM

That's why it's coming back to Michigan. It's actually going to move to Flat Rock now that the Mazda 6 will be made in Japan.

I have a real website to run, I don't have time to spoon-feed every bit of news to you.

Jersey Mike 12-19-2012 09:00 PM

S.J.SLEEPER 12-19-2012 10:13 PM

A8 & M7? AWESOME! just what I needed, 2 more gears/clutches/sprags to break.

WayFast84 12-19-2012 10:27 PM

Al, you can get a gt for 28k the camaro is 33k. That's not really close, especially comparing the performance.

It's within 4%

Blacdout96 12-20-2012 02:50 PM

That v6tt sounds pretty tempting.... will this be looking like a 2nd gen Retro so they can capitalize on the mullet market?

No, no you can't.

MSRP for a base Mustang GT is $30,300
Camaro SS is $33,535 and comes with more standard equipment.

WayFast84 12-20-2012 10:18 PM

I guess they raised the price of the stang then. That's not that bad of a difference, but I still think it's a little high for a 1ss.

Actually, the 30,300 is without destination. I just went to build a Mustang GT to fit the same spec as an 1SS, and it comes in at 33,590, $55 dollars more than a base 1SS.

You were saying.

sweetbmxrider 12-21-2012 07:21 AM

Oh that's lulz!

LTb1ow 12-21-2012 07:34 AM

I still think they should be giving these away.

You win man. People don't want to put the options they want into a car, they want to pay over 3k more for a trim level with stuff they don't want or will never use.

like a damn sunroof
