Hoarding/Tool Collectors Gold Mine
Older friend of mine who recently lost his brother (only 52) asked me if I needed any tools. We head to the house and go into the basement. My jaw hits the floor at the amount of tools and equipment that I saw in the basement. The funny thing was he was attorney and must have made decent money, but was always broke. Now his brother knows where all his money went. You can't do any work down there since its so packed but all the equipment is brand new or like new. This isn't just a bunch of crappy Harbor Freight items either. Most of the tools are from respected brands or custom ordered. Just from what I could see without digging in deeper included the following.
4 large tool chests (Craftsman/Husky) - Full of tools 2 large dust collectors Drill press Lathe Overhead crane Power tools, all kinds (DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc) All kinds of woodworking tools and tons of furniture quality wood Gas powered chain saws, hedge trimmers, outdoor equipment Reems of electrical wire, electrical equipment, brass pipe valves, etc etc 10 gal and 3.5 gal parts washers - brand new in box I feel a bit silly even trying to describe it since it's something someone has to see to believe. All of it is for sale and he needs to move the items quickly. I will be going over there on Sunday to snatch up the items I want like one of the big tool boxes and likely a few other items. I believe he is doing a big sale the following weekend. |
LMK when the sale is. Is the drill press big?
|
****. If I was not sick as a dog I'd go today.

For something like this, I will not be posting the address or my friends contact number openly since this is an open forum. When I know the official date of the sale, I can send it to those I know with the info so there is no funny business. |
DIBS!
Could take a decent camera when we go and take some pics for these guys and do some middle man things. Who knows, maybe you'll need to borrow it in the future and I'm sure they'd be willing to lend it out :) |

I have a spare craftsman oiless that I would like to see gone from my garage to save some space. It works fine, but did not keep up with my glass beader cabinet. The only down side is that it is more noisy than oiled. 25 gal, 120v, 15A, 175 psi max, 2 stage oilfree black craftsman professional. no cfm rating that I could find, but it is rated a 7 on the craftsman scale. Located in central jersey.
It is this model http://www.searsoutlet.com/d/product...42&mode=seeAll |
Lol. I need one badly.
PMED about the craftsman one. |
Please add me to the list Brian, there is a handful of tools that my collection is sorely lacking.
