Gotta love them Dodge Daytonas! Watch some Fall Guy!

WildBillyT 03-12-2013 01:29 PM

I remember visiting MGM studios back in the 90s and seeing a Coyote X. The people around me had no idea why it was such a big deal.

'86 was the best year daytona (looked like 3rd gens w/those headlight buckets)..and everytime i watch 'the wraith' w/charlie sheen i always dug that daytona from the opening scene. Since you have time to kill, you may be interested in my other choices of random 80's cars to look up including::

omni glh
shelby charger from the 80s (fwd shtboxes but they were cool in their own right)
amc eagle station wagon (the original subaru outback!)
Chrysler conquest/mitsu starion
Shelby convertible dakota
shoebox caprices from the 80s
Cj7's w/the 'denim' interior option..
Original full size cherokee's pre-84

TV episodes: A-team (98 episodes and never saw anyone get shot/airwolf/different strokes/alf....and call me crazy but when i was little i always had a thing for the chick from 'small wonder'

....feel better.

i loved my 84 turbo z daytona and my 87 shelby z.

My father had an 88 Mitsubishi Starion. A 4cyl turbo that I used to learn to drive manual. I liked the car because it was narrow and nimble.

Back in high school the Mustang LX was all the rage given its lighter weight without the hatch.

Ah the 80's... listened to Tears for Fears earlier today.

Just had a dream about the hot chick who drove the Daytona in "Hunter." :kneeslap:

An svo turbo 4 banger, haha. I saw one blow a head gasket behind me outside of richmond VA years back. He must have been racing someone... oh and I had my old caddy STS then.

I met my current roommate and best friend in 1998 because we were gonna trade cars. His 89 shelby daytona for my 84 z28. He sold it though and just bought my z28 which I ended up buying back a few weeks later and resold. We've been friends since.

Some of the most under appreciated cars come from the 80s. one of my fav happens to be a thunderbird supercoupe. 3.8 supercharged, irs, 5 speed and a big ass moonroof made for some good times out in cali

*thats not mine, mine was white, but the anniversary paint scheme and wheels are too amazing to not link :D

I had a 86 Shelby Daytona, 87 Shelby daytona, and a 88 Daytona. Those cars were so freaking cool. My favorite shows from the 80's

Perfect Strangers
Growing Pains
and Airwolf

I sold it after about 6 months and bought my '85 Monte SS. It was the first of several that I would own over the next 20 years. :)

G bodies were my thing, Grand Nationals...I owned a few
