Tony Danza Speed Channel show?
 

I don't watch the Speed Channel much any more, because I've seen all the episodes of Pinks [which stopped production years ago] and the same 3 episodes of Hot Rod TV that they run over and over and over. But lately I've been catching this goofy show called "Gearz," in which Tony Danza [Taxi, Who's The Boss?] plays a character called Stacey David. On the show he does stuff like play guitar with Ted Nugent, pretends to build an LSx powered kit car, pulls an old International cab over out of the junkyard and throws a new turbo diesel in it, etc. And he laughs alot.

Good show, but they have been repeating the same 6 episodes since last summer from what I can tell.

Met him in person at SEMA 2 years ago - nice guy - he's really tall!

I met the actual Tony Danza. He was kind of a dick and cut in line at the casino.

Stacey David used to be on the show Trucks on spike. That show was better than gearz. But he seems cool.

Stacy is a master of fab...great watching him work. Danza was almost my father in law..almost married his daughter samantha (alyssa milano)..then i fell outta bed and woke up :(

THAT IS WHY I HATE SPEED CHANNEL ANY MORE...THEY SHOW THE SAME OLD, SAME OLD, EVERY FRIGGIN' DAY!!!!! Instead of spending money to cover every type of racing they need to spend some money and film some new episodes of their popular shows. And quit showing 10 year old episodes of Pinks and Pimp My Ride!!!!

you're in luck. speed is being retired so Fox can use the channel as an all sports competitor to ESPN. i don't remember the time line though

Yup. You won't see anything new, they are going to whore out anything with a shred of popularity.

Hopefully Velocity can fill the gap.

Speed channel sucked anyhow...all they ever showed was pimp my ride or nascar. ... f'ing nascar is boring....even worse, shows like nascar recap or 'nascar star' made me want to jump off an f'ing bridge.

I think they knew the channel was going south for a while and just kept turning over the same stuff for a while.

Stacey David is awesome, very talented builder he quit the Show trucks when they were pressuring him to do crap episodes with bullydog tuners and put stick on diamond plate plastic on Jeeps.
Speed channel has always sucked in my opinion. Let me add HotRod tv is a poor excuse for a show. I place it slightly higher than overhaulin.

I have always liked Stacey David. He usually builds stuff that can be done by the average guy. there was a couple new episodes of gearz but yeah the speed channel sucks. Im sure velocity or someone else will pick it up
