tmobile vs sprint questions
Hey guys I have a quick poll and few questions for all you sprint and tmobile users. I am in philadelphia and currently have sprint (note 3 just bought yesterday). I have been very displeased with their service or lack there of and the confussing billing. I am paying close to 200 for 2 lines with unlimited everything which i guess isnt too bad if it worked most of the time. Recently I have had problems when i try to search an address or do a google search either its VERY slow or will just say no network connection and not let me do anything for a few minutes then pop back up.
I just went to a tmobile store today and they were telling me about all the great things, of course. Like you have to pay full price for a phone since its not a contract like sprint so you pay a deposit and every month pay X amount till its paid off but every 6 months you can get a new phone and the previous amount will be wiped out. Also it would be 120 for unlimited everything for 2 lines, a lot cheaper than 200 with sprint. I am actually going tomorrow to open a line and just keep my sprint phone and the tmobile phone on me and use them both for 7 days and compare the speeds and such and make my decission. Tmobile says you have 14 days to return everything and only pay 35 dollar restocking fee plus a prorated price which isnt bad. I had tmobile YEARS ago with the first android the G1 and LOVED it but i dont know how much they have changed since then. Now can i get some of your opinions, who here has sprint or tmobile and can you tell me which you prefer and some of the pros and cons for each? Thanks for your help |
I have T-Mobile. I hate Verizon, so I can't use any of their services :kneeslap: I like T-Mobile for the most part.

I have had a ticket open with them for 2 months, and it's been through 4 different techs at different times to no avail. I have no data service at home. |
got my note 3 from tmobile tody. i downloaded speedtest apps for both phones and have been comparing pretty much everywhere i have been. i do notice that tmobile downloads apps A LOT faster. other than that as far as internet, youtube and other things they both seem pretty much even with tmobile slightly faster

I have Sprint for our personal phones and Verizon for my work phone. They both have there flaws. We pay 180.00 a month for the everything plan with 3 lines.. Sprint does discounts for certain places of work so you might want to check into that as well! Both the internet connections of Verizon and Sprint have there slow downs but overall our Sprint 4G is better then my Verizon. We live in the Philadelphia area as well.
So you pay 200.00 for Sprint which includes the phones or you pay 120 for Tmobile but you also have to pay for the phones?? |

Yeah, Verizon is where it's "at" |
As a consumer, they provide the best service in the area of which I travel and live.
Therefore, they win. |
You work for Park Sleep Eat & Go home, you have room to talk lol

Someone has a chip on their shoulder.....too bad they don't have a verizon phone as well.....they'd probably be happier

Still feel that verizon is a superior coverage of the area in which I travel, and if you wanna say state wise my opinion is invalid. Both parents are happy with verizon and they are stuck in DE, work in MD, so ya. Guess its just that trenton area that has sucky coverage. |

I get spotty coverage in SNJ from my Verizon phone. I also have a Verizon 4G air card and it is ok. My Sprint phone has better cell coverage were we live and in Philly as well. We also went across country last year to Utah and my Sprint phone had more coverage then my Verizon did on that trip.. I have both verizon and Sprint and my sprint has better service overall..

My sister has t mobile and is constantly complaining she can't access her unlimited data because she can't get service unless its connected to wifi.
Besides my old house I rarely have issues with verizon and the guys I work with who have sprint usually don't complain, they just dont get service in the actual building. For the amount of people who have issues with phone i dont think any of these companies can possibly please everyone. |
I will admit that I have been tempted by TMobile's new offers, but I currently still have unlimited data on Verizon and it's been years since I've been somewhere without voice coverage. Vast majority of areas have plenty of 3G coverage, and 4G coverage is pretty common.
