They give away a new LSX engine. Its a race, the fast to insatll the LSX engine and drive it a mile.gets to keep it.Same at the LTX show/Theres nothing the but LTX at that shootout and LSX a t that shhot aout.holley puts on both.Great time.Dont forget the Corvette is made in Owensboro. Its free to tour there plant and show garage.

Owensboro is bowling green? And unless it's free with your shoot out admission none of the corvette stuff is free

LTb1ow 05-08-2014 07:10 PM

LTX shootout is in Gateway Park, Madison IL.

V 05-08-2014 07:59 PM

and LSX shootout is in Indianapolis, IN

Mike 05-08-2014 08:58 PM

And corvettes are in bowling green

Mike 05-08-2014 09:03 PM

And the only drag strip in Owensboro is a very dinky looking 1/8th mile that is up for lease and looks like it has zero ability to hold a national style event

coolmanvette75 05-09-2014 12:10 AM

Yea LTX Shootout is at Gateway and LSX Shootout is at Lucas Oil (Indy). The event in KY is at Beech Bend (Bowling Green) and is LS Fest...

Mike 05-09-2014 08:16 AM

And is an hour plus from owensboro

Its Bowlng Green,Im sorry I dont know what I was thinking. The Corvette Museum was lost to a big sink hole. There was some nice Corvettes that was crushed. They got alot of them out. There 4 of the Holley shootouts but in Bowling Green its called LSX days and then theres one called LTX days. They guys from Detroit muscle are always there. You see everything you can think of with LSX engine from mustangs to gokarts. Its a great time. Some of you should come down and have a good time.

only a recent addition to the museum was affected, a part called the skydome (i think thats what they called it) All the cars were retrieved. The Mallet sledgehammer Z06 was the most damaged and its not yet known what will happen to it but the other 6 are supposed to be going to GM for restoration eventually.

Ummm no

beaver50 05-21-2014 11:32 AM

I think you right,i thought the Z06 was a total loss but im not sure.Im just on whast on line. And there many different things being said.I do know 1 person that worked there came back home.he was saying he would be out of work for several months until it was fixed.I hate to see them nice cars hurt any at all tho.Don they make the new COPO there or not?

Mike 05-21-2014 05:00 PM

The museum is open now.... Just barriers around the one section.

How can a car be a total loss when the car is owned / possessed by the company that made it? They can literally swap the vins onto a new unissued tub and "rebuild" from there
