Stretch of nice, winding road needed...

I just did a ton of work to the SRT 10s suspension, and I'm looking for some nice roads to work the bugs out on. I'm drawing a blank, so help me out here....NJ only please, can't go to the Tail of the Dragon. And not talking about speeding/racing here...

CGMSS 07-24-2015 03:27 PM

Look up Chris, L695speed. He knows dem back- roads!

Blackbirdws6 07-24-2015 03:37 PM

There are a few roads heading up into Bridgewater that are kind of fun. Going north west also has some good winding roads.

get on 78 west from 287. take 2nd exit...oldwick/ whitehouse? right at light. you won't be doing 100mph but road is nice, some twisties. go early, beat the crowd. 10 miles up do a quick right and left take schooleys mtn road into Hackettstown. have fun.

I know you said NJ only, but 7 Lakes Drive in Harriman state park is 2 mins from the border and i have the most fun up there. Beautiful views too. Banked turns. Freshly Paved as well !

What neighboring state is this area located in, sir?

You can attain access via 17m off thruway by suffern ny. I didn't know 7 lakes was repaved...good b/c that road was ***** last time I was on it.

Gotta watch your speed on Harriman, they love to ticket for anything over 5-10. Its a gorgeous road though regardless. I'm a fan of Sterling Forrest myself, Long Meadow Road is my go to for two wheeled action.

Pittstown road off of Route 12

also E Dark Hollow Road off of 32 in PA is nice (I take 12 through frenchtown, over the bridge, make a left... then a right on to E dark hollow). nice windy stuff

IROCZman15 07-26-2015 11:00 AM

yes we have some nice ones here in Sussex, google Edison road, it starts in Ogdensburg
Be prepared, it's not a nice and smooth one, a real suspension test lol

xrelapse13 07-28-2015 03:56 PM

skyline drive, starts in oakland i believe, right off 287. Goes into the NY State border and can just explore from there and get lost.

OH SNAP!!! Geez, u are wearing your fur very short for the summer! All I was thinking was "Dayum, a very clean yellow turd gen is out for a cruise here in CENTRAL NJ!"
BTW I like the RIMS you have on that Firechicken! :D

CGMSS 07-31-2015 07:20 AM

So...did you get out and find new roads? Wait that's Chevy. Did you get out and grab life?

HeadlessNorseman 07-31-2015 07:00 PM

where are you located? there are some beautiful twisty roads with a nice view in middletown/lincroft/highlands NJ. the ride to stokes state forrest on 15/206 is awesome many good mountain roads, i dont know specifics but any exit off of that road once you get into the foothills... way north west corner of NJ though. not a lot of cops up there and good to cruise around on. if its your ram im assuming you want something fairly wide lol

unstable bob gable 07-31-2015 08:04 PM

I haven't had much of a chance to look beyond my area, but there is a traffic circle in my town that I have been using as a skid pad, :D and I found a bypass of RT 206 in Hillsborough that is pretty good. Hopefully this Sunday I will take a nice putt somewhere new to let her burn some corners.

There's a road, south orange ave, heading towards the Livingston mall. They're called the s turns. Bout a mile or so can't remember exactly, haven't been there in years. Kid I knew rolled his car there and died bout 20 years ago. It's now only one lane on that side but still can be fun. Coming from the mall there's a light right before they start turning.

Yeah, I live and work in Central NJ. Different wheels on it now, The front tires on the R15s are trashed so I went back to the GTA wheels.

I work at that PSEG office, most of the time, just down the road from that intersection

Did you move? Last I heard you were still in Hamilton in SOUTH Jersey. I know where the PSEG place is, as I used to live in Franklin/Somerset. And I'm sure the GTA RIMS look great! :D
