2014 Ford Focus Experience

Big picture

Girlfriend drove a 2003 Focus before this, so she decided hey why not get a 2014!!! Big mistake. and shame on me for not googling harder for the issues with the transmission.

She had the leaking seals fixed, and the clutches replaced already. Shes had about 3 "reflashes" done to the TCM to "fix" the shuddering (feels like a 10 year old driving a stick shift when accelerating)...

Anyway, fast forward today. Next week, she is having the clutches replaced AGAIN, since they need to be replaced, because they are "worn out". GEE WONDER WHY, can't be because the ****ing TCM doesn't know how to shift?

I get a call this morning, "I'M ON 280 AND THE CAR SAYS "ENGINE ERROR, SERVICE NOW AND I CAN'T MOVE".

Thanks ford. **** you, and **** your ****. They wouldn't even pay for the tow. :bertstare::bertstare::bertstare: ****ing piece of ****.

If you're bored, here is the fun-filled focus forum with info on the trans issues!

That's a shame. What's the name of the dealership that's refusing to cover the tow?

My girlfriend did more talking and I did more research. Apparently Ford Roadside Assistance is covered by a third party.

My girlfriend was told that the dealership can advocate for her and then ford will reimburse my girlfriend for the tow... but she has to foot the bill. Issue is she is in west orange :|. Dealership is Flemington. They have been great to her regarding the issues at hand.
