I sold my G5 for $4800 and picked up a 09 SS Sedan for $5000. I think it's a good swap :bertstare:
139k miles, fully loaded. Yes, it's a turbo :facepalm::facepalm: Moon roof, posi, iPod head unit.... Etc. Etc. Only mod it has is K&N intake. Just needs a little maintenance and it's all gud. Boost is fun. Here is my cobaltSS.net post... http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-...s-pics-322750/ |
I hear those are fun cars with some nice potential. Any issues or just needs basic maintenance? When does the boost get bumped?

Oh lolol. Well, since it's a daily.... Not sure when especially with 140k. I was thinking exhaust/IC then up the boost
EDIT: Currently Ordered: BPS Short Throw Shifter (to fix reverse lockout/5th gear issue) Hawk HPS rear pads/oem rotors Timing chain/balance shaft kit (cars are notorious for bad tensioners, not risking it) Waiting to pick up a set of D2S retrofitted headlights...pretty much same price as the HID kit from TRS! (sorry brian lolol) 2 GM OEM front axles |

If your going to up the boost just do the gm stage one kit for it. My buddy started with that on his 08 hhr ss and then went up to 28lbs before it decided to drink all the coolant.

Yes its just a sensor and a tune. You need to run 91+ octane to be "safe". the benefit of the tune is that it allows for other hp increasing mods. The stock tune, with say a cai or exhaust, will supposedly start pulling power after a short period of time, close to stock levels. So any mods then would eventually become pointless. The stage 2 tune does not revert back and will allow sustained power gains from other bolt-ons. I had an '08 saturn sky redline. Stock it wasn't bad. But i did the gm tune, larger intercooler, hard ic piping, and catback exhaust. Car was so much more fun.
