1994 Trans Am with CD Player 10 Speaker/ Static on ALL Stations.

Haven't had a chance to spend to much time listening to my radio, but all the stations have a static buzz to them, and some you can barely make out the music i.e. FM 104.3. The CD player belts out an awesome sound. Anybody you can recommend to check it out and be fair as to what the problem may be? I have checked the antenna connection inside the trunk area and it seems secure. Thanks for any help.

BUMP, Can anybody recommend a very good Audio store to have this looked at? A few places I called (Auto Image etc.) want's $95.00 labor just to check it out. I am not a radio person, so I have to rely on what is being told to me.:-?

I have a radio (from a Camaro) that you can use to test.

Thanks very much. Brian is installing a Hurst shifter in a couple of weeks and will take off the cover and check the connections on the back of the radio. I'll check back with you when I could pick this up. Do you know IF it has the Anti-Theft engaged or not? ED

It is not locked. Even so, it takes 5 minutes for it to be unlocked.

You can have the radio, but Camaros and trans ams are different.

If you can let me know when I could pick it up in the next few days, that would be great. Shoot a PM to me, your address and phone number and I'll let you know when it's OK to meet you. Thanks again for the test radio. ED
