Doing another crazy road trip to Idaho to pick up a K frame for my Suburban in a few weeks :kneeslap: 74 hours of driving, taking 3 days off work and go over the weekend

That's dedication. I'm heading out to Pennsyltucky-Ohio
this weekend to pick up some sensors and new rims for the R/T.

Which "vehicle" are you taking?

WildBillyT 07-24-2017 11:13 AM

74 hours of driving in 5 days? So ~15 hours a day? OOF.

LTb1ow 07-24-2017 11:46 AM

Pop a few white crosses and don't stop.

I've driven to Vermonth and New Hampshire, on separate occasions, so this trip isn't too out of line for me.

I would build a material rack for the Dodge and bring the frame back home on that.

5091 miles Google says. Yeah, it would be rough. I had an offer for someone to go with me. If he goes, it will make the trip a lot easier, and going out we could drive ~22 hours a day figuring in for food and nature breaks. If I go solo it will be more difficult since I will probably bring the dog too. The seat in the Dodge is a bench, so I can sleep in the cab.

I don't know what white crosses are, but I am assuming some sort of drug or caffeine pill.

Why don't you check around on those shipping websites? That's what Jeff did to get his boat from AZ to NJ

PolarBear 07-24-2017 01:38 PM

The seller has shipped stuff, but says he hasn't really made any headway on shipping it.

Plus it is a journey

BonzoHansen 07-24-2017 01:56 PM

OK, I had the change the weekend, so now it will be a 5-6 day trip instead since I may be going by myself

What? There are guys that drive coast to coast picking up multiple items for multiple people and delivering them on the way..

Something like this https://www.uship.com/

LTb1ow 07-25-2017 06:42 AM

$1 per mile and or questionable hot shot insurance.

Yeah, it will cost me less to go get it by myself. That's why I am not really worried about going, ~$2500 or $1200 or less depending on which vehicle I take.....

I am not really worried about it. It would have to be less than $0.40 a mile to make it worth it
