1995 Chevrolet Z28 Convertible
Car was purchased in 2001 off of a used car lot while on vacation. Within the first month it got the stripes, chrome 16" Trans Am wheels, a high flow cat/catback, CAI, and a Hypertech programmer. Since then, the only addition has been three-point subframe connectors. In the meantime, it's been a lovely cruiser, roaming the curvy roads of Northwest NJ and the shoreline. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/614/31...a89f2922_z.jpg |

Mike H 1995 Pontiac Firebird This is my project car, a frankenstein that would make any VIN decoder's head spin. Currently, a 370ci 6.0L V8 with a forged bottom-end and a mild heads/cam package sits where the old 3.4L V6 used to be. From powertrain to body panels to hydraulic lines and HVAC, nothing from the original 1995 V6 car was retained but its unibody. Thanks to good friends here at NJFBOA, this car has been saved from the Scrapper and overhauled into a custom cruiser. The maroon color was changed in favor of this one-off blue we mixed and all of fiberglass body panels swapped in favor of '98-'02 WS.6 pieces. Intending to keep this car for the next 40 years, it remains a custom project that won't be "complete" any time soon; She'll be getting a 6-speed swap over the winter to keep me busy. Between the mootness of the VIN and the variety of OEM European & Japanese accents blended into the build, there are enough parts in this project to make a purist's head spin... and I think I like that. |
