Governed At?

I have an 86 Trans am. 5.0L TBI, Auto Trans. Does anyone know what that car is governed at? I couldnt get past 100 when i tried. I dont know if its because it's governed at that, or if its because i didnt have the balls to go faster in trooper territory.

I had an 88 tbi sc camaro and the car really never liked to go past 100 but it got past it a couple times

my tbi firebird would hit 115 with lots more to spare but would stop me there...stock tune limits the speed at 115

only the TBI cars got governors

Not true. All cars post-some year were governed if the tires weren't Z-rated from the factory I believe. Many TPI's are governed, every one that I know of depending on gearing should be able to hit 140-145, so if its hitting less its governed wherever you stop at. Hope that helps.
