Anyone good with HTML?

Back in the day of geo****ies I used to be pretty good at HTML. Now I suck, but volunteered to redo a webpage for the honor society and club I'm in at school. My main issue is with frames: I want a frame on the left with all of the links, and a frame on the right that the links open in.

I'm using Frontpage 2003 because it's easier to start with, then editing the HTML in an editor, and I googled for some info, but couldn't find anything helpful. Anyone have a clue? Thanks.

I do, but I think I got it finally. Finally found a tutorial that worked. Now I just gotta finish getting the site together and see what happens. Thanks tho.

Also, check out www.htmlgoodies.com if you get stuck on anything. It's a pretty good site. I figured out my own HTML for my website, but it's a real basic thing.

It's basic, I know. Any suggestions?

yes, make a table with 2 columns. first column put the left side iframe, on the right column put the right iframe and center the table on the page.

Why?

GrandmasterCow 09-29-2004 09:23 PM

were you trying to make the two next to each other? or did i read it wrong?

They are next to each other.

The top link is the original site, the bottom link is the one I just did. Bottom link has frams side by side.

GrandmasterCow 09-29-2004 09:31 PM

oh, cuz when i go to the second one, i see the frame on the left, then the very big one is on the way bottom of the page

ShitOnWheels 09-29-2004 09:33 PM

Hmm, I guess it's because of different screen resolutions?

GrandmasterCow 09-29-2004 09:35 PM

mabey, i'm running at 1280x1024. i changed smaller and still appears on bottom ..

I'm running in same, but in both Opera and IE it comes out side by side.

Will using tables fix this for everyone? Cause I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to figure this out heh.

GrandmasterCow 09-29-2004 09:52 PM

I was just gonna tell her to download firefox and test with that. It is prolly the least forgiving for imperfect code....
