Compressors

Me n my pops agreed to split down the middle the price of a compressor to put in the attic of my garage... then we get all the hoses to go into the first level to do painting and *****. We were looking in Sears for compressors, but havent found anything good. We are looking for a really good one in the price range of $400-$700 or cheaper. Any suggestions as to what brand/make and where to get it?? Thx :)

I don't think sears/craftsman sells any large shop-type compressors. I remember looking for one there before and not seeing them. Al...fill us in?

I dont work in tools, but they do have large compressors that require 240 volt source. They are really big and black, not the red ones. We sell the same stuff Home Depot or that gay place...whats it called...I heard h0m0's work there....oh, Lowes.

When i was lookign into compressors, I just remember being told, the bigger the better with tank size if you will be using if for spraying, you get a more constant psi for paint application that way.

I work at the one at the now defunked Seaview Square Mall in Ocean/Neptune.

OH, I walked into the Craftsman part today, and the big 70 Gal Profesional tank is on sale till the 27th. If you go get it tomorrow, there is an extra 10% off that, and then my discount! CANT BEAT THAT! I didnt have the amount of cfm's it moves, but im sure it does a good job. It is oil-less though, so its gunna be a little noisy. They did have a larger Ingrosol one, but that mofo is huge.

if you go to homedepot.com and:
power tools>
air compressors and accessories>
HUSKY 5.5 Peak / 1.7 Running HP, 32 Gallon Husky Air Compressor Kit
Model WL660899

this is the kit that's in my garage. Â*works excellently, great bang for the buck. Â*however it is oilless and it's really freaking loud. Â*That's about the only downside.

they offer the same kit at the home depot stores for the same price.

I have that same one...and the only reason I got it was because Craftsman stopped selling the tools along with teh compressor. They now sell the tools with the compressor...figures.
I think he wanted something a little bigger.
