First run in the new car
 

well, it is a 4cyl mid line economy car from gm, so i knew it woudl happen at some point.
i got my first "race" in the alero adn got owned pretty bad.
black integra, had type r badges(don't they all), some wheels that were actually tasteful, and at least a cat back(prolly header as well from the way it sounded, but cat must have still been intact cause it wasn't hella loud).
i got the hit by a little when the light changed, didn't dump the clutch or anythign cause this car wheels hops like you wouldn't believe. i did ok in first gear, then grabbed second cleanly and suddenly the situation changed a bit. the integra caught traction and took off on me. it was bad enough that i didn't even bother to grab third, i just watched him walk on me. :( i jsut threw it into 5th and cruised the rest of the way home.
oh well, i guess i will have to pick on an even lower class of citizen to get teh new car a win. anyoen know where there are any yugo's or daiwoo's that wanna race? :roll:

i know a daewoo thats for sale and would prolly race, hah

could have really been a type-r....or a gsr...either way he didnt describe it as a ricer sooo who knows

my car is only rated at 140hp and 150ft/lbs. prolly weighs in around 3100 with me in it. so it is pretty slow.
any v-tech motor woudl have gobs of power over me and i think most hondas weigh less anyway.

i got it as a commuter, so i am not really dissappointed. as soon as he acted liek he wanted to run i had a pretty good idea of what was about to happen, i just thought it was gonna happen before second gear. lol

earlier gsr's (94-96) only had about that much horsepower, the latest were around 160 and type-r's were 190ish

i thought the alero was a 6 cylander. and i never knew it came in manual.

yet just another reason as to why Honda > GM

that is in GL trim. the next step up from my car. the GX trim i have comes wiht a 4cyl and has a "sport" package that installs the 5spd, spoiler, 15inch alloy wheels, and leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob. basically creating a rice pimp alero :)

teh z28 is on teh time frame to be ready to rock end of march or early april as planned. so i will have to kill some time and teh racing bug this way for a few weeks :)

hm...ill run it in my mom's trailblazer

its gonna have to wait until a few months from now, I have to replace the timing chain in the thing and maybe get a new clutch. I learned how to drive stick in it so it's pretty well abused. :lol:
