dirtbike problems again

when i try to start my bike it runs for like 30 secs and then stalls but this time when i got it to run for 30 secs and after it stalled i tried to start it and after five kicks i got a nasty nasty ass loud back fire twice. do you think it could be the plug?

NJSPEEDER 02-20-2005 04:10 PM

is the plug fouled? what mix are you running?

forget what mix im running but the plug is a little fouled, it is in need of a carb adjustment badly, it smokes like he!!

What kind of bike, what plug, what mix? I don't know tons about them, but I know that details are extremely important in those little 2 strokes.

i forget the ratio of the mix but its kawakem

probably rich.
replace the plug.
go from there.

on 2 smokes, smoking like hell could mean either worn rings (which is a very good possibility, i had a friend with an '88 blaster who had the EXACT same problem, turns out his top end was toast), or again, rich jetting. also, figure out the pre-mix ratio.

where you at? perhaps when i get some free time i can drive up to help you out.

Here to help,
Ryan
