1964 Chevelle SS Hardtop

For Sale:
1964 Chevelle SS Hardtop (Not my Convertible)

-True SS car-Original 283 PowerGlide (NOT included-can get in touch with person who has them though)

This car needs a restoration, however all the body panels, floor braces, floor panels, and extra sheet metal are included. One Rocker Panel and Quarter Panel have been started, just needs welding. This car can make a good original piece, a Hot Rod, or a Race Car. The car comes with:
**NEW Parts**
-L & R Rocker Panels
-L & R Quarter Panels
-Floor Braces (some installed)
-Trunk Floor Pans
-Compartment Floor Pans
-Interior Pieces Â*(Arm Rests, mirrors)

-alot more

**Used / Original Parts w/ condition**

-alot more

**What I dont have that will be needed**
-Small piece of sheet metal on C pillar that will be needed to be fabricated-VERY EASY!
-Piece on body next to trunk deck-curving piece-not even 1"x1"- Easy to make
-Engine and Trans-however if you want I have a 350 (Bare) Block that could be included in the sale. Needs to have the cylinder walls honed-otherwise it has less than 35,000 miles on it. Â*Or i can get you in contact with the previous owner who has the 283/PG
-Seat Covers
-I do not think I have a Front Windshield ($95 bucks @ Carslile)
-SS Trim (Used on my convertible)

Anyone who has seen the car will tell you that it would not be too hard to get it together especially since all the main parts are included (Body Wise) and if you have a little bit of welding skills or can give it to someone to do the body work. I bought the car two years ago. I was going to make it a race car, and use the SS trim on my convertible since what i had was not complete. I began sandblasting, then went off to college and never recovered the metal. It has surface rust on those parts-nothing a little more sandblasting wont take care of. Theres ALOT more money in parts than what i would be selling this for, but i would much rather sell it as one whole package. This car is one of VERY FEW left, and is only getting harder to find. It is a numbers matching car, I pulled the original motor and trans out when i bought it. Street or Strip this car is very do-able compared to other things out there. If anyone is interested, or know anyone who is let me know through the boards. I do not have a price because Id rather someone come out and look at it and make me an offer. The way it looks is ALOT worse than it actually is. Considering floor braces are all done, the floors, fitting a rocker and quarter, some welding are pretty easy. The Frame is solid, and only has normal rust on it. Only part that was weak was the rear bumper mount that i bent by accident, however it is easy to fix and reinforce. Thanks

Jon

I will get some pics after this snow storm...read the bottom...Im not asking a price I want people to look at it first then make offers. This way we can work on something from there.

Im interested in seeing it. Is it basically a rolling body?

bad64chevelle 02-28-2005 10:23 AM

Yes, rolling body. Needs a good resto, but very salvagable. If youre interested in looking let me know.
