That is the command that will get rid of the crap, along with everything else :D

It won't work from a command prompt in WindowsXP anyway, you would have to boot from a floppy or CD (anything other than Windows on the hd) to make it work these days. Windows won't allow you to kill it while it is running.

*** all that above, get spybot: search and destroy. search for it on google, its definately worth getting and the ad-aware is good, but its not free and ive had problems with it destroying clients computers in the past, never once had an issue with spybot though.

Ad-Aware is free. And I think Jon told me he already ran SpyBot....I could be wrong though.

my suggestion....either find a known patch from an anti-virus company, or get someone to help you blast it out of the registry editor (if you dont know how to).

I beg to differ. I think this is nothing more than spyware. Malitious but effective. A virus it isn't because this is advertising.
I've seen some nasty spyware. The tuffest to get rid of was running 2 processes (programs in the background) that would keep tabs on each other. Try and kill one process and the other would envoke it back to life. That wasn't even all that hard. I just downloaded the newest version of spybot, restarted the computer in safe mode, installed spybot, ran spybot the way I do. I also recommend using spybot's built in teatimer program which monitors the registry very carefully. If anything is installing itself into a windows startup it'll let you know and ask you if you want to allow it or not. Obviously if it asks you if you want to allow blah blah blah to be entered into the registry and you're installing something like winamp well DUH, allow it, if you're not sure, deny, .
The hardest to remove are from the computers that haven't been protected with basic tools. Tools like a firewall be it hardware or software. Also any computer using IE is basically up for grabs.
Have you downloaded and run hijackthis? If not, get it, run it, and paste the results here.
