might be easier just to put resonator or extra mufflers in. Magnaflow tends to quiet down a decent bit without killing flow. Also, Highflow cats will tame it as well.

I'd double check the connection on the exciter...
I'd double check the connection on the exciter wire, it's critical to the alternator properly working. Also, if you by chance have to replace the alt again, i'd recommend going with the truck 145amp...

With 146k I'd stay away from any aggressive cams that really spin the motor high. A mild cam combined with a set of 5.3 heads to bump compression either now or down the line will give a broad torque...

You'd need bigger injectors, depending on what pump you have, you'd need a bigger pump as well as one that is compatible with E85, and a tune.

Have you confirmed your Tick is adjusted properly? If it's not adjusted right it can lead to all the issues you're experiencing, sounds like it may not be adjusted to release the clutch all the way...

That makes sense, timing is actually the quickest way to catch/control idle since the iac is slower than a change in ignition advance.
You have HPT right? Do you have a log of this happening?

STIT is an idle short term trim similar to short term fuel trims, whereas it's not commanded in the tune but is rather a trimming based on the commanded base idle...
